The Patient Clerical Assistant performs clerical and receptionist duties for the behavioral health unit. Job duties affect patient care through the completion of tasks which permit others to provide direct patient care. Work requires communication outside of the work group and external contacts require providing or obtaining factual information. Work Location: Columbia, MD Casual status - day shift 7am-3:30pm with every 3rd weekend Education/Experience: 1. High School Diploma or equivalency required. Knowledge/Skills: 1. Strong interpersonal skills including sensitivity, maturity, and tact necessary to communicate effectively with patients, family members and co-workers, and the ability to work efficiently with episodic interruptions in work flow. Salary Range: Minimum 17.87 per hour - Maximum 20.60 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
