Overview

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Computer User Support Specialist Journeyman with 3+ years' experience for Department of Defense program onsite at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, CA. and/or Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA. Salary

The typical annual salary range for this position is $65,892.00 USD to $73,521.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance to computer users

Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically
May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems
A Journeyman level person typically performs all functional duties independently
Monitor computer system performance to ensure proper operation
Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues
Provide technical support for software maintenance or use
Install and maintain computer hardware
Resolve computer software problems
Install software and test computer software performance
Train others in computer interface or software use

Qualifications

Over 3-10 years of experience performing the duties described in the Functional Description and Responsibilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening-for staff, customer and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
Ability to work independently; self-starter
Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

EDUCATION

Degree: BA/BS degree in a Computer, Information Science field, Mathematics or a relevant technical discipline.

Allowable Substitution: 6 Years additional work experience or an Associates' Degree plus 4 years additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

CLEARANCE

Condition of Employment: Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Level Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
