Description and Requirements

The IDG (Intelligent Devices Group) global Marketing organization is hiring a Manager, Content Strategy & Deployment reporting to the Director, Digital Web Marketing.

The role of Manager, Content Strategy & Deployment will work in close conjunction with IDG Segment Marketing, Product Marketing, Brand, Social, PR Comms, Media COE, eCommerce, and Event Marketing teams to implement a homogenous system (tools, processes, operating principles) for the management of marketing content for IDG. This person will also support the marketing teams to implement new practices aimed at driving efficiencies with our agency and vendor partners and maximizing the utilization and impact of content.

This role will work closely with our Digital Transformation team to support the ongoing development of content management practices across Lenovo.

This role requires strong collaborative and communication skills, excellent analytical skills and the ability to use measurements and data to demonstrate improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of content management.

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Digital Transformation organization, develop and deploy a new content management system.
    • Understand the many types of creative content used by modern marketing organization.
    • Establish guidelines for the management of assets across many different use case scenarios.
  • Ensure common language and best practices are embraced by geo marketing teams.
  • Assist the many stakeholders who develop and rely on content to adopt new technology platforms and processes and to fit these to their operating environments.
  • Act as a thought leader for the global marketing organization to promote best practices at a global and a geo level regarding content management with an emphasis on driving efficiencies while maximizing effectiveness.
  • Establish key measures of success and impact for content management.
  • Develop reports to share key learnings and actionable insights as they relate to content and agency management.
  • Understand industry trends and best practices and share those trends out across the global marketing team.
  • Evaluate and assess the current roster of agencies used within Lenovo for content creation and recommend practices to drive greater efficiency
  • Drive user adoption of deployed systems across IDG stakeholder groups (i.e. stakeholder training, support, etc.)
  • Establish and convey content governance guidelines as they relate to our content systems

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience managing creative marketing assets within an organization.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Content management trends. How technology can be used to enable new processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Understanding of content management platforms (DAM & CMS), tools, and best practices and how to deploy selected platforms across multiple stakeholder communities for maximum impact.
  • Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders, platforms and communities to ensure that strategies/goals are understood and met.
  • Ability to drive strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders (e-commerce, social, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a high-volume, high-visibility function.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Experience with regular reporting, collaborative strategic planning and ongoing campaign optimization.
  • Leader who can think through future state and trends.
