Summary of Job Duties:The Adjunct Faculty works under the supervision of the Chair in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and is responsible for teaching rehabilitation courses to undergraduate students. The Adjunct Faculty serves in multiple roles: teachers, mentors, colleagues, and scholars. The Adjunct Faculty is expected to engage students in classroom instruction as he/she teaches and fulfill other responsibilities related to the teaching position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Possesses accurate knowledge of his/her specific field/discipline and has the skills and ability to apply the content
*Selects and compiles tests, assignments, and/or online discussion exercises that permit measurement of students' performance relative to standardized learning objectives.
*Organize instruction to engage and enhance students' learning.
*Teaches the assigned course(s) to undergraduates in accordance with learning objectives and lesson plan outlines.
*Plan lessons and activities to engage students whether the course is offered via virtual, face-to-face, and/or hybrid.
*Submits syllabus and other documents as per requested by SOE, C and I, and/or University.
*Staff meetings when available to keep abreast of program activities and changes.
*Reads emails on a regular basis and keeps abreast of School of Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and University activities and announcements Qualifications:

Master of Rehabilitation plus eighteen hours in related field of study; minimum of three years of experience in the specialized field applicable to the course in the Rehabilitation program. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.
