POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Inspects, tests, maintains, repairs, and installs various types of alarms and other types of electronic systems and devices in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and National Fire Protection Association standards. Systems and devices include fire alarm systems, intrusion detecting systems, automatic doors, electric gates, vehicle traffic light controllers, and others as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Requirements:



  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain a flight line driving permit.
  • CPR Certification.
  • NICET Level 2 certification.
  • Five years similar experience supporting a military base or civilian installation.
  • Knowledgeable in addressablefire alarm systems, suppression systems, FM radio transmissions, and security systems.
  • Ability to work on high ladders and other high places.
  • Working knowledge of solid-state, and other conventional control security.
  • Team player, ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others.
  • Abiltily to read, write, speak and understand American English to an eighth-grade level for a working knowledge of hazardous, safety, and environmental warnings. as per contract requirement.
