West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurosurgery seek a General Neurosurgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) with an emphasis in spinal neurosurgery to expand our practice at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. The candidate will be part of a new neurosurgical team building a new neuroscience program at Thomas Memorial Hospital as part of a state-wide, comprehensive neurosciences program through the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. The successful candidate will practice in South Charleston, WV. The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute guides a team of 200 dedicated faculty in providing compassionate patient care and advanced medicine through education, research, and outreach in the many diverse communities we serve. Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree (foreign educational equivalent accepted) and be eligible for state medical licensure. Candidates must have completed a neurosurgery residency program and be board certified/board eligible in neurosurgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
