JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Performance Enhancement department is seeking part-time Olympic Sports Performance Enhancement Fellows who will assist the performance enhancement (Strength and Conditioning) staff in all day-to-day operations at several training facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for our Olympic sports: Field Hockey, Women's Lacrosse, Baseball, Men's and Women's Gymnastics, Men's and Women's Rugby and Men's Golf.

  • Work directly with full-time strength staff and sports science

  • This can include coaching and leading groups independently, set up/breakdown and maintenance of training facilities.

  • Communicating with assigned full time coaches for changes, modifications, issues as pertains to sport assisting.

  • Could require working early mornings, late evenings and weekends

Current certification with the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or USA Weightlifting (USAW) is required, along with a strong work ethic and professional attitude. First Aid and CPR certification mandatory. Experience in collegiate strength and conditioning coaching preferred.
