Overview The Division of Information Technology (DIT) provides technical support to OIG employees located in 27 offices nationwide in response to problems related to their use of systems, applications, and equipment issued and managed by the OIG. The OIG requires an individual to report on-site (telework is available and is in effect 100% for the foreseeable future) at the U.S. Department of Labor National Office, located at 200 Constitution Ave, NW, Washington, D.C. The hours of operation for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM. The administrator should have at least 2 years of RHEL 7/8 administrator experience (RHSCA certification with 1 year practical experience acceptable) and 2 years of managing a Nutanix/AHV environment (Nutanix Certified Professional plus 1 year practical experience acceptable). The OIG seeks an individual who can communicate with coworkers, stakeholders, and customers clearly and professionally. The individual must exhibit a positive attitude and aptitude for the position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate shall perform the following tasks:
Serves as primary Linux administrator: Building servers/workstations as needed, Patching/upgrading software, User administration as it relates to the Linux servers, Performing software installation.
