Responsibilities:

  • Group tax provision and forecasting
    • Support the overall group tax reporting effort through preparation of the quarterly global tax provision
    • Coordinate with various stakeholders including tax accounting, finance and IR teams as necessary
    • Assist in maintaining a stable and predictable tax environment through timely and accurate provision reporting
  • Assist in managing the group's global tax position from an international perspective
  • Tax optimization
    • Use the provision and compliance work experience to identify opportunities for tax optimization;
    • Monitoring and, where necessary, correct actions which could put Lenovo at risk.
  • Tax model development and control
    • Assist with the further development and implementation of the international tax model;
    • Advise the various business units on tax consequences of proposed transactions;
    • Assist with the development and implementation of tax internal control processes
    • Assist with the implementation of business developments / acquisitions.
  • Transfer pricing
    • Assist in managing overall intercompany transactions, uplift and true-up processes
    • Coordinate with various stakeholders including regional tax, legal, trade compliance, treasury, accounting and finance teams to ensure proper implementation of transfer-pricing policies
    • Ensure proper documentations on the intercompany transactions are aligned with global tax models in defense of tax audits.
    • Assist in managing BEPS documentations requirement in mitigating potential tax audit exposure.
  • Tax information systems development and improvement
    • Identify and clearly lay out systems capabilities required for the efficient production of tax (and related reporting) information;
    • Work closely with the IT and accounting groups in the course of developing and implementing core systems capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration, economics, finance or accounting or related degree.
  • Minimum 2+ years Big 4 / Mid-tier public accounting firm experience with emphasis on corporate MNC tax compliance and provision.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • International tax/ Transfer pricing work experience is a plus, but not a requirement (will train the right candidate).
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Strong sense of responsibility and accountability combined with ability to work on his/her own initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, organized and focused approach, willingness to get into the detail and follow through.
  • Rising to the challenge of a fast-moving multi-billion dollar MNC
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining oversight; ability to deal with tax issues in wider business context
  • Personable, team player, effective management of external service providers
