Description and Requirements

The Strategy Manager will report to the Chief of Staff of Lenovo's Global eCommerce business, leading and shaping the strategic direction of Lenovo's digital growth. This role will lead strategic projects and support annual planning for global strategic decisions, priorities and investments; combining process and content leadership as the liaison between strategy and cross-functional business teams. Responsibilities will include strategy development, market and competitive analysis, team leadership and executive communication. This is an ideal position for a highly ambitious industry expert, with the ability to leverage analytical, communication and insight to deliver future recommendations that drive business growth and decisions.

  • Conducting timely, relevant strategic business analytics aligned to Global eCommerce calendar to understand emerging trends, technologies and define the implications to Lenovo with the ability to get alignment for next step initiatives
  • Provide analysis and insights by building business models based on key strategic questions facing the organization
  • Jointly support annual corporate strategy planning cycle by creating a Global eCommerce strategy framework, synthesizing insights, and preparing final deliverables
  • Creating Senior Executive (CEO, COO) presentations on strategy, financial and operational performance
  • Develop execution plans for strategic projects and manage transition to business or Geo functions or COO Transformation Office
  • Utilize advanced interpersonal skills required for building trust and engagement across geographies and business units with leaders across the organization
  • Establish and manage executive steering committees on strategic topics
  • Drive BMS for measurement and tracking of operational KPIs
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner for the Chief of Staff and Vice President / GM of Global eCommerce
  • Advocate on behalf of the customer with an unwavering customer-centric approach
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence without authority

Position Qualifications: Basic:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • eCommerce Experience

Preferred:

  • Business training preferred including MBA / advanced educational training
  • Experience excelling in all areas of formal management consulting experience, eCommerce and work in multi-national/global, matrixed organizations preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for technology and/or experience in the personal technology industry
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging strategy concepts to frame problem solving including quantitative acumen (financial modeling, P&L management)
  • Flexible, ambitious, and a team player focused on delivering results for the bigger picture.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support the global responsibilities of the role.
