Our Core Values: Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Category Manager to join our team at Trilliant Food & Nutrition. The Category Manager will support the development and execution of category strategies that drive growth and profitability for the company, working closely with the Senior Category Manager and cross-functional partners in marketing, sales, commercialization, and R&D. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of market trends and consumer behavior, and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver who is eager to grow their category management expertise in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: * Category Strategy Support: Assist in developing and executing category plans that align with business objectives, supporting the Senior Category Manager in translating strategy into actionable initiatives. * Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports. Support the preparation of customer deliverables for business reviews, resets, and joint business planning. * Market and Consumer Insights: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity. Use data to inform recommendations on product assortment, pricing, and promotions. * Retailer Collaboration: Support key retail partner relationships. Assist in building customer decks and, for select accounts, present category updates and insights. * Price & Promotional Analysis: Monitor competitive pricing and promotional performance; provide analysis and recommendations to the Senior Category Manager. * Forecasting & Demand Planning Support: Partner with supply chain and demand planning teams to provide shopper and category data inputs that inform volume forecasts. * Presentations: Prepare category, shopper, and competitive data into clear summaries for internal teams; present findings to internal cross-functional partners and, on a limited basis and with guidance, to retail partners. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to support alignment on category strategies and execution plans; contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment. * Vendor Coordination: Support day-to-day use of syndicated data and insights platforms (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana, Scintilla), pulling data and reports as needed; escalate vendor service or contract issues to the Senior Category Manager. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Category management certification preferred. * 3-5 years of experience in category management, retail analytics, or a related role within the CPG industry. * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. * Demonstrated ability to support the development and execution of category strategies. * Good communication and presentation skills. * Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Nielsen, Numerator, Stratum) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Power BI a plus. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. * Developing negotiation and relationship-building skills. * Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to grow within a collaborative, fast-paced team. Hours, Location and Pay: We offer a competitive base pay rate and benefits package for full-time employees. This role works standard business hours Monday-Friday at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility. Additional hours as needed to support business needs. Physical and Mental Demands: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
