Position Summary
Partner with leadership to target department's operation and expansion of the department's research mission. Oversee development of the research. Lead the fostering strong cross departmental and cross institutional relationships and collaborations with divisions across the Department of Pediatrics and other Departments at BCH. Responsible for Lab employees, workload distribution, Performance Management process etc. Manages communication between bench and clinical staff and internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • * Oversee development of the bench and clinical research. Collaborative partnership with Enterprise, to include: BCH Clinical Trials Group, Experimental Therapeutics and Interventional Trials Center, Informatics, and other labs.
  • * Manages clinical research coordinators, research assistants, data manager etc. Responsible for Human Resources activities i.e. recruitment, onboarding, Performance Management, and discipline; provides leadership, mentoring and training as appropriate.
  • * Responsible for all aspects of research operations, project direction and team administration for the Research Team. In collaboration with the Principal Investigator, develops protocol implementation guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • * Responsible for recruitment strategies, consenting, enrollment, sample and survey collection policies.
  • * Serve as a point of contact for project leaders and stakeholders; lead in organizing key project meetings and workshops.
  • * Help to facilitate expansion of the Division's pediatric fellowship program. Assist with compilation of data for progress reports, grant submissions, and publications.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • * A master's degree in a related field is required.
Experience:
  • * At least 8 years of clinical and/or bench research experience is required

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
