Dalton Cardiovascular Res Ctr Job Description
The laboratory focuses on elucidating neuronal mechanisms and restoring neuronal circuits controlling autonomic function after severe spinal cord injury (SCI), particularly in cardiovascular performance and lower urinary tract (LUT) control. Research activities incorporate a wide range of methodologies, including neuroanatomical, physiological, cellular, molecular, and behavioral approaches. The successful candidate will apply foundational scientific and technical skills to support routine laboratory operations and research activities. Responsibilities include assisting with rodent surgical procedures and animal care; conducting histological, physiological, and molecular experiments; performing data collection and analysis; supporting laboratory administrative functions; and maintaining research equipment. Working under general supervision and established procedures, the candidate will perform routine and straightforward tasks while contributing to the overall success of ongoing research projects. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively exchange information and collaborate with lab personnel. Shift

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
A B.S. in Biology or equivalent discipline is preferred. Work experience with animals is also important but not required. Individuals with a master's degree in these or related areas are encouraged to apply. Salary will be determined by the level and skill of the applicant. Anticipated Hiring Range
