Job Duties

  • Construct, fit, and align intricate mechanical components to precise engineering and quality specifications using a wide range of specialized hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Read, interpret, and execute assembly operations directly from complex mechanical blueprints, customer specific design packets, bills of material, and custom engineering orders.
  • Interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to manually measure, flare, and bend fluid lines, progressing to the setup and independent operation of automated computer-controlled tube bending machinery.
  • Analyze electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to route complex conduit runs, pull wiring, and perform precise electrical terminations on control panels and actuator sub-assemblies.
  • Utilize overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and specialized rigging techniques to safely position, rotate, and transport heavy actuator units and materials throughout the production floor.
  • Identify, document, and communicate material or design non-conformances to engineering and quality teams to prevent production delays or product failures.
  • Engage actively with the site skills training matrix, demonstrating continuous skill acquisition across multiple assembly disciplines to maintain high cross-functional utility.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce material waste, elevate quality metrics, and champion site safety standards.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a mechanical assembly, industrial manufacturing, automotive repair, or heavy equipment production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret mechanical assembly drawings, fluid power (hydraulic/pneumatic) schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams (technical competency will be evaluated via a practical assessment during the interview and shop tour process).
  • Proficient in the use of standard industrial measuring instruments, including tape measures, calipers, and micrometer gauges.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain internal forklift and overhead crane operation certifications within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with industrial conduit bending, electrical panel building, or wire termination.
  • Hands-on experience with manual or automated tube bending equipment for fluid-power systems.
  • Background in interpreting customized, low-volume customer specifications rather than standard high-volume repetitive assembly.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication, or mechanical assembly is preferred.
  • Technical training, vocational education, or manufacturing coursework is beneficial.
  • Experience working with pneumatic tools, torque tools, fixtures, or assembly equipment is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality inspection procedures, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate strong craftsmanship, dependability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Assembler.

Physical Capabilities

  • Physical capability to stand for up to 8 hours per day, lift up to 35 lbs. regularly, and maintain the dexterity required for intricate mechanical and electrical manipulation.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to maintain focus while performing detailed assembly work in a manufacturing environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive Weekly Pay
  • Comprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Life Insurance and Disability Insurance for added peace of mind.
  • Optional 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for the future.
