- Receive, inspect, count, and accurately register incoming shipments and inventory.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks as needed.
- Sort, stock, and organize products on racks, shelves, and designated storage locations.
- Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders according to work orders and shipping schedules.
- Ensure order accuracy and meet productivity and quality standards.
- Perform basic data entry and update inventory records using warehouse management systems and computer applications.
- Package products and prepare outbound shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and inventory management activities.
- Follow all company safety policies and warehouse operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
- Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
- Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
- Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- Forklift certification preferred; ability to obtain certification if required.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
- Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
- Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Associate.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
