Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with management and coordination of the day-to-day operations for Hoyne Field, The Norville Athletic Center, The Alfie Practice Facility, and the Golf & Softball Training Center including oversight of regular maintenance activities and game management

  • Act as liaison for Athletics with Student Complex on Gentile Arena programming, procedures, maintenance and game day operations.
  • Evaluate all preventative maintenance projects in athletic owned facilities.
  • Maintain key security access.
  • Hire, train, and schedule student and temporary employees serving in the equipment/laundry area.
  • Supervise student-workers daily duties including repair, laundry, and travel preparation.
  • Coordinate with head coaches on the particular facility and operational needs related to their sport for both practices and contests.
  • Work closely with Athletic Business Office on all purchase orders, receipt of goods and invoicing related to Facilities and Game Day Operations.
  • Coordinate Game Day Operations with campus stakeholders including Concessions, Security, Parking & Transportation, Student Complex and other Athletics Staff.
  • Hire, train, and schedule student and temporary employees working to support game day operations.
  • Assist with all game day needs for each athletic event/contest (including ball kids, court wipers, etc...)
  • Help prepare locker rooms for visiting teams and officials and assign student hosts.
  • Communicate with visiting team on needs (practice times, visitor guide, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field and three-five years of previous experience with college or private enterprise facilities management.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage sport facilities, personnel, and special events preferred.
  • Management skills to ensure proper set up/tear down and work orders result in smooth operation of events in facilities.
  • Ability to quickly identify, trouble shoot, and resolve problematic on-site situations and resolve conflicts.
  • Interpersonal relationship/communication ability to maintain efficient coordination of facility services and supervision of student workers.
  • Organizational/tracking skills to ensure accuracy and timely ordering and receipt of equipment/ apparel.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional work day/week schedule (evenings and weekends)
