Job Details Make a Difference at ChristianaCare ChristianaCare is seeking motivated individuals to join our Environmental Services team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers while supporting infection prevention and quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, and hospital common areas. Remove trash, soiled linen, and bulk waste from assigned areas. Maintain Environmental Services equipment, carts, and supply closets. Restock paper products and soap throughout the facility. Follow infection control, safety, and departmental procedures. Respond promptly to work-related calls and messages. Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards. Attend required training and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to use a smartphone or mobile device for work assignments. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items throughout the shift. Ability to work in a healthcare environment with possible exposure to infectious diseases while following required safety precautions. This position has a starting rate of $17.80 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.90 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.93 per hour. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
