Oracle Database Engineer

As a database administrator who specializes in Oracle, you know how to manage and secure database technology. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting the Navy.

On our team, you'll install, configure, patch, upgrade, and secure a multitude of Oracle products. You'll provide your client with peace of mind as you implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You'll use technology and tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.

In this role, you'll closely impact the Navy by utilizing your Database Management skills directly for the Mission Owners. With your technical expertise, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we'll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

You Have:

• Experience with Oracle Database such as 12c or 19c
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, Identity Management, and web servers including Oracle HTTP Server, Apache, or Tomcat
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery such as HA or DR
• Experience with Shell, Python, or PowerShell
• Experience in Linux and Windows administration
• Knowledge of security standards such as STIG, FIPS 140-2, SSL, or PKI
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• CompTIA Security+, CASP, or CISSP Certification
• Database Oracle or Cloud AWS Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with cloud-native and hybrid database architectures
• Knowledge of AWS including EC2, RDS, or S3
• Ability to obtain Agile Developer Certification or Certified Scrum Developer Certificationwithin 6 months of hire date

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
