About The Role: Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), a leading defense technology company, is seeking a Cloud and WebApp Engineer for the corporate IT team, with a primary focus on Linux endpoint management, to be based in our Arlington office. The Cloud and WebApp Engineer will have a primary focus on Linux endpoint management. The role requires a strong knowledge of Linux administration, patch management, virtualized environments, and the ability to collaborate across IT, operations, and executive leadership. Clearance & Location Requirements: All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. This is an on-site position requiring at least 1 day in office, based out of our Arlington, VA location. Department Operations Employment Type Full Time Location Arlington, VA Address 4401 Wilson Boulevard Suite 810, Arlington, Virginia, 22203 Open in Google Maps Workplace type Hybrid Compensation $72,000 - $139,650 / year Key Responsibilities What You Will Do: Assist in management of virtual desktop infrastructure for Linux Implement compliance checks for VDI patch management Deploy and manage Linux virtual machines in VMWare vCenter and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) Assist in management of Red Hat Satellite infrastructure Install, upgrade, and manage Linux based applications (e.g. - Jira, Confluence, Crowd, FlexNet, Teamwork Cloud, Nagios) Install, upgrade, and manage database infrastructure for applications (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) Manage and maintain application security components (SSL certificates, password management for Linux resources) Create and update Linux systems documentation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Initiative, reliability, teamwork and customer service orientation Strong organization and planning skills Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Who You Are (Required): Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent full-time professional experience 3 years of full-time professional experience Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed What Makes You Stand Out: Red Hat Satellite Ansible AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or equivalent experience Scripting (bash, python, etc.) SELinux and fapolicyd If you see yourself reflected in this role and are excited about the impact you could make, we encourage you to apply! The posted range does not include bonuses, commissions, tips, or other benefits. IDT is often looking to place multiple candidates at various levels. Therefore, more than one pay range has been included, commensurate with experience.
