Hexcel is currently seeking a Painter Technician I- Advanced Materials
Hours: 1:00pm - 11:30pm M-F

Pay Range: $23.60 - $27.87

• Performs all duties associated with paint preparation and secondary operations.
• Maintains and operates painting equipment.
• Consistently achieves productivity and quality expectations within assigned work cell.
• In process quality control of products using measuring devices.
• Maintain electronic and written production records to maintain production order tracking, material traceability and consumption. Responsible for accurate and timely completion of cycle counts.
• High attention to FOD (Foreign Object Debris) control and prevention.
• Proactively participate in our safety-first culture.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand part drawings
• Ability to follow internal and external specifications and work instructions
• Knowledge of technical requirements for spray equipment, mixing ratios and measuring devices
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems with spray equipment and application of paint and primer
• Prior automotive or aerospace painting is a plus
• Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and basic computer knowledge
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to adherence to PPE requirements, compliant handling of chemicals, and safe ergonomic practices
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
