Waukesha Metal Products Tool & Die Maker Waukesha, WI We are looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker with a strong emphasis on building and developing metal stamping dies. This position will be responsible for building, repairing, modifying, troubleshooting, and maintaining dies, tools, gauges, fixtures, and other tooling used in the manufacturing process. What You'll Do Build, repair, alter, and maintain metal stamping dies and other tooling Plan, lay out, and perform bench and machine operations based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements Perform precision bench and assembly work, including fitting, aligning, calibrating, adjusting, and finishing tooling Build tooling from your own concepts when design specifications are not available Troubleshoot progressive dies and identify opportunities for corrections and improvements Respond to tooling issues and concerns from the production floor Perform preventative maintenance and ensure tooling repairs are completed efficiently Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools Maintain quality, workmanship, and dimensional accuracy of assigned work Participate in quality audits and maintain required documentation Follow 5S, safety, environmental, and quality procedures What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of tool building experience or equivalent experience Journeyman Tool & Die Maker card preferred Previous tool building experience preferred Progressive die troubleshooting experience required Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and precision measurement Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments SolidWorks and/or Mastercam experience is a plus Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others Physical & Work Environment Primarily works in a tool room environment Must be able to stand for extended periods, with intermittent sitting and walking May occasionally need to climb, balance, reach overhead, stoop, kneel, or crouch Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Work environment can be loud Required PPE includes steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and company uniform Why This Role?
