MECHANICAL ENGINEER BB&E is an employee-owned full service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, which services both the Federal and Industrial sectors throughout the United States. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors. Position SummaryBB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team, providing technical support and serve as a Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) team member by providing advisory and assistance services and high quality, on time deliverables in support of the 18 CES Operations Engineering Element at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Requirements Job Duties & Responsibilities
o Advanced technical knowledge of Air Force CES IT systems, including but not limited to NexGen IT/TRIRIGA, BUILDER, GeoBase, and Sharepoint. o Deep knowledge of software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). o Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and thermodynamics. o Ability to develop and test models of different design and process methods to evaluate feasibility, sustainability, and required modifications. o Ability to prepare clear and concise documents, such as functional specifications and technical requirements, that guide projects. o Ability to review technical documents and provide subject matter expertise that enables identification of root causes, development of solutions, and/or implementation of corrective measures. o Expertise in translating industry standards and regulatory requirements into concrete engineering specifications * Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences * Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint * Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously Experience & Education
* Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time * Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc. * Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms * Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs. * Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away * Ability to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand, and talk or hear both in person and by telephone Benefits Compensation, Benefits & Perks
