Description Propane Service Technician I Poconos, PA Your role in our success: The Propane Service Technician I is responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of propane systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues with propane appliances, tanks, and related equipment. The technician must ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, provide excellent customer service, and maintain accurate service records. What you'll be working on: Performs installations for gas service and sets tanks in accordance with applicable codes. Responsible for keeping customers informed of proper handling and use of propane appliances. Properly size and install gas lines as necessary. Safe operation of a service truck crane to install and remove customer tanks. Makes necessary connections to appliances according to code. Performs tank and equipment maintenance to check tanks for leaks and make any necessary repairs. Performs pressure, leak and operating tests as needed with proper documentation. Completes work orders properly documenting materials used and time expended. Connects/Disconnects gas service as needed. Perform and accurately record inventory of company assets, including tanks, appliances and parts. Serve on the on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls Who you are... High school graduate or equivalent. Valid Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements or ability to obtain. Experience in propane preferred General mechanical aptitude (hand tools) Basic computer skills. Able to effectively communicate in a team environment and with customers.
