What You'll Do:

As the Technical Publications Writer, you will support our P-8A aircraft and mission systems team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on P-8A aircraft maintenance experience and be able to apply that knowledge to the development of technical publications, training manuals, and courseware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, review, and evaluate engineering data and requirements to develop and produce customized maintenance products.
• Develop technical data packages using vendor source data, Navy engineering support, and Navy logistics information.
• Author and edit technical publications, communications, and interactive manuals for P-8A aircraft and mission systems.
• Develop maintenance training materials and courseware.
• Provide training to the Fleet Integration Team (FIT) on new software and hardware releases.
• Assist the FIT with the development and review of operator manuals.
• Support task analysis and on-aircraft reviews as needed to verify and validate maintenance procedures.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• 4 years of hands-on P-8A aircraft maintenance experience required.
• P-8A Navy Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification required.
• Formal education and/or a combination of education and technical writing experience desired.
• 7 years of aircraft and/or avionics technician experience preferred.
• Training experience, Instructor 9502 qualification, and/or Master Training Specialist experience preferred.
• P-8A Quality Assurance (QA) experience preferred.
• Experience with OOMA database management is a plus.
• Experience performing task analysis.
• Knowledge of NAVAIR 00-25-604 requirements, publication graphics, product design, system operation, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe products, SharePoint, Cisco Webex, and Microsoft Office.

Security Clearance Requirement:

• This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Active clearance highly desired. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

• The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000, commensurate with an individual's experience, qualifications, and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
