Position Summary

Position Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Associate is responsible for packaging finished products, processing customer shipments, loading and unloading trucks, and supporting accurate and timely shipping and receiving operations. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, adherence to standard work procedures, and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare finished products for shipment to customers and inventory stock locations
• Review, print, and organize customer orders to support timely and accurate fulfillment
• Pick, prepare, and process shipments based on customer requirements and delivery schedules
• Coordinate customer pickups and shipping priorities to help ensure orders move efficiently
• Use UPS, FedEx, and LTL systems to process packages and freight shipments
• Safely load and unload trucks while following proper material-handling procedures
• Create daily shipping manifests and complete required shipping documentation, including domestic, international, and airbill paperwork
• Follow standard work, process instructions, ISO requirements, and established company procedures to support quality and consistency
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping, receiving, and customer service goals
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following all safety procedures, training, and workplace guidelines
• Support continuous improvement activities that help make processes safer, easier, and more efficient
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor to support business needs

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements

• Prior forklift experience preferred, or ability to obtain a forklift license
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet business requirements
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision or guidance
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or additional post-secondary education preferred

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift as required in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate material-handling equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
