Benefit Administrator

Position Summary

First Coast Security Solutions is seeking a Benefits Administrator to handle the day-to-day benefit work and keep the related records and payments up to date. This person will work with employees, Payroll, Finance, benefit providers, and contract teams to answer questions, review reports, and make sure benefit information and payments are correct.

Responsibilities

• Process employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Keeping records up to date.
• Review contract and collective bargaining agreement requirements for health and welfare benefits.
• Prepare weekly health and welfare reports and process payments.
• Prepare 401(k) reports and payments and monthly union dues reports.
• Check benefit deductions and employer contributions with Payroll and follow up when amounts do not match.
• Review invoices and payment information, track due dates, and resolve issues.
• Answer employees and manager questions about benefits.
• Work with benefit providers and government agencies on benefit questions and requests.
• Keep benefit records and documents organized and follow the applicable plan and contract requirements.
• Prepare reports and keep supporting information available for review or audit.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of related experience in benefits, payroll, human resources, or accounting.
• Experience working with employee records, benefit deductions, or payment information.
• Able to review reports and benefit documents carefully and follow up on missing or incorrect information.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to manage several tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with health and welfare benefits, federal or union benefits, or collective bargaining agreements.
• Experience preparing health and welfare reports or handling benefit contributions and payments.
• Experience with 401(k) changes or reports, union dues, or benefit invoices.
• Experience using WinTeam or another payroll, HR, timekeeping, or benefits system.
