Job Title: Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

Location: Terrell, TX.

Job Type: On-Site

Reporting to: Plant Manager

Director Reports: 25 - 30 technicians.

Site Overview: Our Terrell, TX facility is a non- union manufacturing plant with approximately 70 employees. The site specializes in producing polyurethane foam and other foam products. As a key location within FXI's manufacturing network, the Terrell plant is known for its strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence. Team members work in a collaborative, supportive environment where continuous improvement and innovation play a central role.

Position Overview: The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of departmental safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and employee performance within assigned production and fabrication areas. This role provides daily leadership to hourly associates and production specialists, coordinates production schedules, ensures compliance with SOPs and safety standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities







    • Provide visible leadership to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, SOPs, and PPE requirements.







    • Ensure adherence to quality standards, the Quality Management System (QMS), product specifications, and customer requirements.









    • Monitor production operations and stop production when necessary to address safety, quality, or process nonconformance issues.









    • Plan, schedule, assign, and oversee daily production activities based on customer demand, staffing levels, equipment availability, and production priorities.









    • Review production schedules, work orders, and technical specifications to determine labor, material, equipment, and operational requirements.









    • Track and analyze key performance metrics, including productivity, schedule attainment, labor utilization, downtime, scrap, rework, and overall operational efficiency.









    • Manage workforce utilization and staffing levels to meet production goals while controlling labor costs and overtime.









    • Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees while fostering accountability for safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and performance.









    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, process optimization, 5S, Kaizen, standard work, and operational excellence.








  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to minimize downtime, resolve operational issues, and ensure on-time customer delivery.





Key Requirements



  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. AAS or BS degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production related problems.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP software (SAP preferred.
  • Minimum 2 yrs. experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing facility.
  • Requires experience with, or knowledge of, lean manufacturing processes.
  • Requires effective interpersonal skills and behaviors conducive to a team-oriented environment.
  • Requires proficiency in the use of PC's and applications related to the position.
  • Must have a positive customer service attitude. Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be available to work any shift including scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required
