The Quality Department Manager provides enterprise leadership and oversight for the company's Quality Management Program. This position is responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving quality policies, procedures, standards, audit programs, reporting systems, and performance expectations across all business units. The Quality Department Manager leads the corporate Quality team and provides functional leadership, direction, and support to regional, branch, and project-level Quality personnel. The position works closely with PMO, Operations, executive leadership, project teams, Training, Safety, manufacturers, customers, and other business partners to embed quality throughout the project lifecycle. This role uses audit results, operational data, customer requirements, lessons learned, and industry standards to identify risks, strengthen accountability, reduce rework and punch-list items, improve project execution, and enhance customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management Program, policies, procedures, standards, and performance expectations. Manage the company's Interim and Final Quality Audit programs, including requirements, scheduling, scoring, documentation, waivers, corrective actions, and escalations. Lead, mentor, and develop Quality Department personnel by establishing priorities, performance expectations, goals, and professional-development opportunities. Provide functional leadership, technical guidance, and support to Quality Specialists, Quality Supervisors, project teams, and other personnel performing quality-related responsibilities. Partner with Operations, PMO, Training, manufacturers, and project teams to integrate quality throughout the project lifecycle-from preconstruction and project startup through installation, testing, and closeout. Monitor audit completion, past-due audits, quality scores, corrective actions, recurring deficiencies, project risks, and other key performance indicators. Develop and communicate dashboards, performance reports, trend analyses, risk assessments, and improvement recommendations to Operations and senior leadership. Prioritize and coordinate Quality resources based on project value, risk, complexity, customer requirements, operational performance, and business needs. Support high-risk, complex, underperforming, or escalated projects by coordinating Quality engagement, technical resources, corrective actions, and leadership communication. Ensure workmanship, installation, testing, labeling, documentation, and closeout activities comply with company standards, project specifications, manufacturer requirements, customer expectations, and applicable industry standards. Develop and maintain quality tools and controls, including QA/QC plans, inspection checklists, First-Off-Kind documentation, First Work Inspections, standardized forms, and reporting processes. Lead or support root-cause analyses, lessons-learned reviews, quality-reset meetings, corrective-action planning, and other continuous-improvement initiatives designed to reduce risk, rework, and punch-list items. Collaborate with Training and subject-matter experts to identify learning needs and develop technical guidance, reference materials, presentations, and quality-related training content. Exercise sound judgment regarding quality risks, audit requirements, waivers, escalations, corrective actions, resource deployment, and sensitive project or employee matters. Promote a collaborative quality culture, serve as a company and customer advocate, and demonstrate leadership in quality, safety, ethics, employee development, operational performance, and customer satisfaction. Other duties as assigned. Min USD $105,000.00/Yr. Max USD $140,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Must be able to work a non-standard work schedule as required to provide job, team or individual specific training. For demonstration purposes, must be able to climb ladders, use hand and power tools, lift 50 pounds. Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop, implement and review project process improvement(s). Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements. Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. Must be able to learn and teach Company and customer project management systems. Regular attendance is mandatory. Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of three (3) years training experience or related role. Must have a minimum of five (5) years project management experience in telecommunications, electrical or a related technical or construction field. Prefer BICSI trainer certification. Must have demonstrated knowledge of job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration. Must have working knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications. Skilled in numerical and statistical analysis. Must be able to organize and plan your work and work of others. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project). Must meet Company minimum driving standards. Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory practice preferred Must be able to lead and work as part of a team. Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Possess good knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their application.
