Job Duties

• Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes
• Machine precision parts from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
• Perform manual programming and utilize CAD/CAM software as needed
• Complete machine setups and tooling changes independently
• Monitor machining operations and maintain close tolerances
• Identify opportunities to improve setup times and production efficiency
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Complete production records and time-tracking documentation
• Operate forklifts to move materials as needed
• Train and mentor CNC Machinist Trainees

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a Tool & Die environment
• Ability to manually program CNC equipment
• Experience using CAD/CAM software
• Experience performing complete machine setups independently
• Forklift experience required
• Experience with HAAS machines highly preferred
• Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or multi-axis equipment is preferred.
• Experience editing CNC programs, setting tooling offsets, and performing machine setups is beneficial.
• Familiarity with G-code, CAD/CAM software, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, continuous learning, and commitment to precision manufacturing are well positioned for success as a CNC Machinist.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
