Job Duties

• Perform incoming, in-process, first piece, first article, and final inspections.
• Inspect raw materials, fabricated parts, subassemblies, and completed assemblies.
• Measure components using precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMM equipment.
• Identify defects, nonconforming materials, and quality concerns.
• Generate inspection reports and nonconformance documentation.
• Review and verify engineering drawings, specifications, travelers, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
• Verify workmanship standards for machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, coating, plating, wiring, and assembly operations.
• Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Suppliers, and Customers to resolve quality issues.
• Support investigations related to inspection findings and nonconforming materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree (AA) or technical coursework preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and applications.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
• Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
• Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Inspector.
• Semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 75 pounds when required.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
• Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
