Job Summary

We're looking for a Logistics Assistant to support production operations through production scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, and data analysis. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow, ensure material availability, and help drive on-time delivery while supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 6:00a-2:30p

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production priorities.
• Adjust schedules to accommodate changing customer demand, resource availability, and production constraints.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to support production requirements.
• Partner with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials needed to meet production schedules.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and other functional teams to align production plans with business objectives.
• Communicate production status, schedule changes, and potential issues to key stakeholders.
• Analyze production capacity and resource utilization to support efficient operations and on-time delivery.
• Identify bottlenecks and work with operations teams to implement effective solutions.
• Utilize ERP systems, Power BI, and other planning tools to analyze production data and performance metrics.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations based on production and inventory data analysis.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve production planning processes.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Provide support and training on production planning tools, systems, and processes.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or a related environment.
• Experience in aerospace, energy, or similar industries involved in the manufacture and/or repair of highly engineered products.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and experience using ERP systems, Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or other production and inventory management certifications.
• Strong project management experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work is performed primarily within a manufacturing environment, with some time spent in an office setting.
• Regular interaction with production, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams.
• Frequent use of ERP systems, planning software, and data analysis tools.
• Occasional overtime may be required to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
