The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is looking for a Project Analyst to provide project controls and scheduling support for a nuclear production laboratory. The selected candidate will team with a project manager, lab and test sponsor engineers, lab technicians, and management to create schedules then follow the execution of the work. The project analyst will own the schedules and will create and maintain metrics to report out on project statuses and delays. The candidate will follow multiple projects with varying timelines and constraints and will work to identify issues that would negatively impact the schedule. Average length of projects range between six months and three years. Day to day activities include: Attending project meetings, developing and reviewing project schedules, running resource analysis and trends, tracking schedule metrics, interacting with engineers, technicians, test sponsors, project managers, ?lab management and NNL management, coordinating with other project analysts on project schedules that rely on shared resources, provide briefings on project status to stakeholders, problem solving to identify areas of waste and decrease delays, and follow the execution of work as product moves within the lab and outside the lab. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Nuclear Test Operations production processes would be beneficial for the creation of new schedules and delivering our product to final destination Knowledge of and/or previous experience with Primavera P6 project management software and Microsoft Power BI Knowledge of project management principles, common terminology, and best practices for tracking project health/metrics Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range
$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
