Job Summary

The Security Manager is responsible for the leadership, administration, and oversight of the company's security programs supporting defense, aerospace, unmanned systems, and government contracting operations. This position manages personnel security, facility security, physical security, classified contract compliance, COMSEC accountability, Technology Control Plan (TCP) administration, and security awareness initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable government, customer, and contractual security requirements.

The Security Manager serves as the principal security advisor to management, supporting the protection of classified information, controlled technical information, company assets, personnel, and facilities. This role works closely with Operations, Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Program Management to maintain a strong security posture and ensure operational readiness.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Serve as the company's designated Facility Security Officer and administer the industrial security program in accordance with NISPOM, DCSA, and contractual security requirements.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and programs.
• Serve as the primary liaison with DCSA representatives, government security officials, customers, auditors, and inspectors.
• Manage personnel security programs, including clearance processing, access authorizations, visit requests, briefings, and debriefings.
• Administer facility security programs, including FCL requirements, visitor management, badging, and security inspections.
• Lead responses to security incidents, violations, emergencies, and corrective actions.
• Oversee COMSEC accountability and safeguarding requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Technology Control Plans (TCPs).
• Assist with planning, accreditation, and compliance of SCIFs and other classified workspaces.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Maintain required security documentation and records.
• Monitor regulatory and contractual changes and implement updates as needed.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training.
• Advise leadership on security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military service, training, and experience.
• Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible industrial security experience.
• Experience serving as an FSO, AFSO, CPSO, COMSEC Custodian, or similar security leadership role.
• Thorough knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA regulations, and classified contract administration.
• Experience working directly with DCSA representatives and compliance activities.
• Working knowledge of DISS, NISS, NBIS, and related security systems.
• Experience administering COMSEC accountability programs.
• Experience developing and maintaining Technology Control Plans (TCPs).
• Experience supporting SCIFs, closed areas, or similar secure facilities.
• Knowledge of classified information handling and safeguarding requirements.
• Ability to interpret security regulations and customer directives.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and investigative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining all required accesses and authorizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or current TS/SCI.
• Experience as the primary FSO for a cleared facility.
• Experience supporting SAP, SCI, SCIF, or Special Access environments.
• ISP, SFPC, ISOC, or comparable security certification.
• NSA COMSEC training and certification.
• Experience supporting aerospace, UAV/UAS, defense manufacturing, R&D, or engineering operations.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Ability to traverse the manufacturing facility.
