Responsibilities

Facility Risk Manager Opening!

The Risk Manager has broad responsibility to protect the hospital's assets from loss. Risk management activities include but may not be limited to a general knowledge of facility insurance programs, interfacing with the corporate risk management department, administering the UHS TERM Program on a day-to-day basis, managing and analyzing risk management data, conducting risk management educational programs, complying with risk management related standards by accrediting and regulatory agencies with the objective of enhancing patient safety, promoting patient safety, quality care, and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility. The Risk Manager is responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of TJC/DBHR/DOH, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS TERM Program.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Risk Management, Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or a related healthcare field required.

Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Three to five years of progressive experience in healthcare risk management, quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory compliance, accreditation, or behavioral health operations required.

Licensure/Certification: CPHRM, CPPS, RN, or other healthcare-related certification preferred.
