The successful candidate will have hands-on experience implementing workflow, document digitization, and client-facing solutions that simplify the end-to-end tax documentation lifecycle while maintaining regulatory and control requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to digitize the collection, validation and maintenance of tax documentation including W-8 and W-9 forms.
  • Redesign onboarding and remediation workflows to reduce manual outreach, client follow-ups and operational rework.
  • Partner with Tax Operations, Engineering, Tax legal and Client Coverage teams to implement digital intake, workflow orchestration and document management solutions.
  • Define business requirements, process flows, exception handling rules and success metrics for tax documentation platforms.
  • Improve data quality through upfront validations, business rules and automated controls.
  • Drive implementation of OCR, document extraction and document intelligence capabilities where appropriate.
  • Support modernization of information reporting processes, including electronic delivery of 1099 and 1042-S forms.
  • Analyze operational metrics and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, increase self-service and improve client experience.
  • Act as the bridge between Tax Operations users and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform testing, user acceptance, implementation readiness and post-production support for transformation initiatives.

Required Experience

  • 9-14 years of experience in Tax Operations/transformation working with Tax Technology/developers, or Information Reporting.
  • Strong understanding of tax documentation processes including W-8 and W-9 collection, validation and maintenance.
  • Experience supporting information reporting processes such as 1099, 1042-S or related tax reporting regimes.
  • Proven experience digitizing document-heavy operational processes and reducing manual intervention.
  • Experience defining business requirements and working directly with technology teams to deliver solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project delivery skills.
  • Ability to translate operational pain points into practical process and technology improvements.

Preferred Experience

  • Financial services or large-scale tax operations experience.
  • Experience with tax documentation platforms, workflow tools, document management systems or OCR/document intelligence solutions.
  • Experience implementing electronic tax form delivery capabilities.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence; process and decision-modeling tools such as Signavio, Visio or DMN; and analytics or automation tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, Power BI or Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, JIRA, SQL, Power BI or similar analytical tools.
