Overview
Program Manager - Partner Programs and Engagement
Location: United States Work Arrangement: Remote
About the Role
The Program Manager, Partner Programs and Engagement designs and leads the programs through which partners are recognized, represented, and informed. The role owns the partner badging and recognition program, the Partner Advisory Council, and partner communications across the ecosystem and within Hyland. This is a program ownership role - the individual is accountable for building the operating models, governance, and measurement required to make each program effective and scalable.
Technology Tools
Partner Portals
- Marketing Automation Platforms
- Credentialing Platforms
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Design and launch the partner badging framework - including badge categories, evidence requirements, verification, renewal, and alignment with partner tiers and specializations while establishing the governance, systems, and cross-functional processes required to issue, track, renew, and remove badges in partnership with Enablement and Services.
- Drive adoption of the partner badging program - measuring badge distribution, partner participation, and the relationship between recognized capability and partner performance while maintaining a clear distinction between certifications, which establish knowledge, and badges, which recognize verified capability or contribution.
- Define and operate the Partner Advisory Council - including its purpose, membership model, terms, representation, meeting cadence, and member expectations while developing decision-oriented agendas and facilitating discussions that generate actionable partner input rather than one-way updates.
- Connect Partner Advisory Council feedback with Product, go-to-market, Enablement, and Services leaders - tracking decisions and actions through completion and closing the feedback loop by reporting to members on what Hyland considered, changed, or declined.
- Own the partner communications strategy, calendar, channels, and cadence - across newsletters, portal content, program announcements, and launches while creating and editing priority partner communications and establishing standards for partner-facing content produced by other teams.
- Coordinate internal visibility so partner-facing teams understand what partners are being told, when, and why - ensuring partner feedback reaches the teams that need it, maintaining a reliable source of current partner program information, and using engagement and feedback data to drive continuous improvement.
Role Essentials
You'll be set up for success if you have:
- 8 or more years in partner programs, channel marketing, partner engagement, communications, or program management within a global B2B organization - with demonstrated experience designing and launching a partner-facing program such as a badging, certification, tiering, specialization, or recognition program
- Experience leading an advisory council, partner board, or similar forum involving senior external stakeholders - with the ability to develop decision-oriented agendas, facilitate discussions that generate actionable partner input, and close the feedback loop with members on decisions made
- Strong writing and editorial judgment - with experience creating clear, effective communications for partner or customer audiences and the ability to establish standards for partner-facing content produced by other teams
- Working knowledge of partner ecosystems and the roles of systems integrators, service providers, OEMs, enablement, and delivery organizations - with experience using partner portals, marketing automation, credentialing platforms, or similar program systems
- Strong influence without authority - with cross-functional leadership skills, the ability to build alignment and accountability across functions without direct authority, and comfort building programs in an ambiguous environment; experience in a global or high-growth environment is preferred
What We'd Like to See
Bonus points if you bring:
- Demonstrated experience designing and launching a partner badging or recognition program - including establishing governance, systems, and cross-functional processes required to issue, track, renew, and remove badges at scale in partnership with Enablement and Services
- Experience operating a Partner Advisory Council or similar senior external stakeholder forum - with a track record of connecting council feedback with internal product, go-to-market, enablement, and services leaders and tracking decisions and actions through to completion
- Experience owning a partner communications strategy end to end - including calendar, channels, and cadence across newsletters, portal content, program announcements, and launches with the ability to create and edit priority communications and set content standards for other teams
- Experience operating in a global or high-growth environment - with the ability to represent the partner perspective internally with candor, including when feedback is difficult or conflicts with internal assumptions
- Familiarity with credentialing platforms, partner portals, or marketing automation tools - with the ability to use engagement and feedback data to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement across all three program areas
