Pay Range: $81,000 - $117,000 Job Summary:The Product Launch Program Manager has a pivotal role with End-to-End Supply Chain responsibility for the successful development, launch and End of Life management of TempurSealy (TSI) products. They are the Supply Chain 'go-to' for new product introduction for their program families. This position represents Supply Chain Planning and Sourcing as a Core Team member on New Product Launch (NPL) projects and other various supply chain projects as assigned. Responsibilities are split between being an active member on multiple PMO-led cross-functional NPL Core Teams as well as leading other Supply Chain projects and initiatives. Reporting requirements include tollgate reviews, supply chain readiness reviews, Product Transition Review, weekly status reviews. This position is critical for start-up coordination with respective Suppliers, TSI manufacturing facilities and internal stakeholders. Extensive collaboration is required with various functions to ensure an optimal supply chain set-up. In addition, frequent communication will be necessary with the PMO, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Development, Product Engineering, Logistics and Finance to ensure key stakeholders are kept informed. A successful NPL Program Manager is a natural leader and facilitator; is dynamic, driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in program/ project management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
- Responsible for all supply chain planning activities associated to enable a flawless launch execution.
- Driving launch readiness in conjunction with marketing, engineering, operations, and sales teams.
- Communicating system requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness with cross-functional supply chain teams.
- Influencing product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness in pursuit of high service levels and maximum flexibility.
- Providing recommendations to optimize the Supply Chain network especially with respect to total cost management, inventory management and business continuity.
- Leads the cross-functional planning team and manages the development, roll-out, and implementation of new product introduction into Operations.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
- Coordinating related efforts for Supplier and/or Component material qualification, ramp-up, and initial roll-out necessary to support Product launch timing.
- Resolve sourcing related problems for new programs i.e., pricing, scheduling, Supplier CapEx, lead-time, Logistics.
- Coordinate with Sourcing Category Managers (CM) for:
- Selection of NPL-related component materials and associated Suppliers in alignment with Category Strategies.
- Support for RFQs/RFPs, related total cost analysis, and negotiated Terms and Conditions.
- Lead Supplier readiness reviews to ensure suppliers ability to meet Tempur Sealy's requirements.
- Track and report on supplier performance during product launch period.
- Document complexitydrivers of New/Unique/Difficult (NUDs).
- Create and lead reporting and presentations cross functionally each week.
- Consolidates and standardizes input for broader communication.
- Support other activities as assigned.
What You'll Need (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of Supply Planning and/or Sourcing experience. Previous experience in product launch management or product commercialization is a major plus.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, especially in building relationships and defining process within grey/nebulous areas.
- Strong ability in negotiating and influencing without authority in complex, high impact situations.
- Have excellent verbal/written communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects/ timelines and effectively communicate and collaborate with various levels
- Have strong skills in project management, problem solving, process mapping.
- Maintain a high level of organization, commitment to follow through, enthusiasm and motivation.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, problem solving and rapid decision-making skills
