Summary: The Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, installation, and testing of control systems and the engineering documentation required to support these activities. Collaboration with Group Leaders and assigned Project Managers, in an effort to track and manage associated budgets and schedules, is considered an important element of the job. Interaction with project team members and customer contacts is expected. Depending upon project or assignment scope, the Controls Engineer is expected to provide technical direction to the manufacturing and purchasing departments. Primary Responsibilities:

Education: Bachelors Degree required.
Related background in respective engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.) beneficial.
Essential Mental Functions: Must be a self-starter and work under minimum supervision, with high degree of flexibility in day to day assignments. Good project management skills. Demonstrate effective problem solving skills and decision-making mentality. Effectively and cooperatively deal with vendors and suppliers. Must be able to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization, and react favorably and in the company's best interest in all situations. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Essential Physical Functions: Be able to work odd hours and /or schedules, as required. Must Sit for extended periods of time while at a desk or in meetings; hearing and visual acuity within normal range; manual dexterity to operate keyboard and calculator sufficient to perform essential tasks. Have the ability to frequently lifting and carrying up to 5 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Safety Requirements:

to): While performing essential job functions you will be required to use the following; General office equipment, i.e. Computers and Related Software, Copy Machine, Fax Machine, etc. Facility related test equipment, i.e. DVOM, Light and Sound Meters, Dranetz Meter, Data Loggers, Anemometers, etc. Tooling Required: None Availability:
Travel: Must be available and willing to travel as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Working Conditions: Typically includes frequent travel between existing facilities. While performing essential job functions you are frequently exposed to both outdoor and indoor environmental extremes. On a day to day basis you will be exposed to noisy manufacturing shop environments, and typical office environments. May be required sit, stand, and walk for extended period of time.
