Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Primary Purpose of Position
The position functions as an HR Specialist within People Data Management ( PDM), working cross-functionally to solve intermediate to high-level issues and complexities within the relevant systems, with supervisory support when necessary. This position independently handles specialized processing of documents and materials relating to the employee personnel/payroll data in Banner and related systems. This work is specialized and technical in nature, using extensive knowledge of the applications, coding and work unit processes in addition to university, state and federal policies and procedures. This position must review daily file maintenance reports, research, correct and reenter any rejected data to maintain the data integrity in all systems. This position utilizes a broad base of knowledge to determine the most appropriate course of action when a given situation is not covered within the established guidelines.

Duties include testing Banner HR and Employee Self Service to ensure scheduled upgrades to the production system will be successful, and providing documentation of testing steps, processes and outcome. This position will address edit reports from E-print and ecuBIC in order to make updates to HR data as needed to ensure compliance. This position will function as Banner support (to include EPAF and separation processing), which includes resolving issues that impact payroll and job records. This position will also be responsible for processing support requests in Team Dynamix and People 360 that may span multiple HR systems. The position works extensively with university departments in facilitating communication, feedback and information with PDM procedures and processes to ensure compliance with system capabilities.
