What you'll be working on...



  • Installs new meters and regulators.
  • Performs meter changes for customers.
  • Responds to and investigates gas odor complaints and gas leaks.
  • Utilizes and maintains gas detection equipment.
  • Verifies customer equipment is safe and complies to applicable codes.
  • Processes disconnection of service for non-payment.
  • Installs remote read devices on meters.



Who you are...



  • Entry level position with mechanical/industrial training and/or experience required.
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Knowledge of NFPA54 (National Fire Protection Association).
  • Skilled in the safe operation of hand tools, working with diagnostic tools.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read, manuals, code and parts diagrams.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of employees and customers.
  • Ability to identify abnormal operating conditions.
  • Ability to complete work orders accurately.



Where you'll be working:



  • Outside, customer premises, and minimal office time
  • Working around potentially flammable substances
