We are seeking a dynamic individual to step into a pivotal role, where you will be instrumental in bringing visionary retail concepts to life. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute significantly to the evolution of a beloved brand's physical presence, working alongside experienced Design Managers and the VP of Store Design. Your expertise will be crucial in orchestrating the seamless execution of projects from inception to grand opening, ensuring every detail aligns with the brand's commitment to excellence. You will play a key part in transforming blueprints into breathtaking retail realities, making a tangible impact on customer experiences worldwide.

What You'll Do



  • Support Design Managers and the VP of Store Design, focusing on a single brand's initiatives.
  • Act as a central liaison between the Store Development team and various internal business partners, attending meetings to review plans, schedules, and operational requirements.
  • Scrutinize Real Estate transmittals for accuracy and ensure clear communication.
  • Assist in developing preliminary layouts and coordinate effectively with architects and the Store Design/Construction team for internal project approval.
  • Assemble comprehensive final Design Development packages for internal project approval, collaborating with Real Estate planners, architects, and Design Managers.
  • Maintain the design project list and issue detailed weekly project reports.
  • Prepare compelling presentation packages for leadership meetings.
  • Track and manage all project submittals, including samples, drawing sets, and shop drawings.
  • Serve as the system administrator for online document storage, managing construction documents, shop drawings, renderings, and photos.
  • Monitor weekly site construction photos, keeping all business partners informed of progress.
  • Handle general project administration, including notes, distribution of information, and fielding inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Repairs and Maintenance team for established brands.
  • Undertake some travel as required to support project needs.


Must-Have Qualifications



  • Proven experience coordinating retail, commercial interiors, hospitality, or multi-site construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent projects while adeptly handling shifting priorities.
  • Comfort and proficiency in reviewing technical drawings, layouts, and design packages (note: you will not be producing them).
  • A strong track record of successful collaboration with diverse partners including Real Estate, Construction, Operations, architects, General Contractors, and various vendors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong organizational abilities and a commitment to follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications



  • A degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with project and document management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or similar systems.
