| Job Summary |
The Student Development Specialist
III plans and implements programs and events that support international student success while promoting intercultural learning, global awareness, and cultural appreciation across the UT Dallas community. The position requires a passion for fostering intercultural initiatives in a collaborative environment.

| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree with three years of relevant experience with college students or adolescents in community groups in an advisory, administrative or educational capacity or the equivalent combination of relevant education and experience totaling at least seven years. |
| Preferred Education and Experience |
- Master's degree in student Affairs, Higher Education, or International Studies and one to three years of experience in a higher education setting, preferably in Student Affairs.
- Previous international experience and/or serving international student populations.
- Previous experience with programming and promoting events for college populations.

| Other Qualifications |
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- In conjunction with the Assistant Director, plan, coordinate, and facilitate Intercultural Programs events, and activities. Activities include but are not limited to cultural heritage celebrations, International Student Orientation, iFriend, International Week, cultural trips, international spouse and family support, and workshops, among others.
- Network and collaborate with campus partners, community partners, and student leaders to establish, plan, and administer co-sponsored programs.
- Supervise student workers including providing training, guidance, and constructive feedback.
- Provide guidance and resources for new and continuing international students.
- Manage, update, and posting on ICP social media platforms. Hosting Instagram lives.

Remote Work Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
