HOK, a global architecture, design, engineering, and planning firm, is seeking a Design Technology Manager (DTM) to join our Advanced Technology Group. This is a hybrid position based in HOK's Kansas City office, with on-site presence required three days per week. As a Design Technology Manager, you'll play a critical role in advancing HOK's design initiatives and supporting the successful delivery of projects through technology, innovation, and process improvement. You will partner closely with project teams, BIM Coordinators, Design Technology Specialists, and firm leadership to implement BIM strategies, maintain technology standards, provide training, and ensure high-quality project outcomes. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration to help project teams work more efficiently and effectively while supporting HOK's commitment to design excellence. Who is the ideal candidate for this role? The ideal candidate is a collaborative technology leader who is passionate about improving project delivery through innovation, BIM processes, and digital design tools. They combine strong technical expertise with a service-oriented mindset and enjoy coaching others, solving complex challenges, and helping teams succeed. This individual is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on project support. They stay current with emerging technologies, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and are committed to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. What is the required education & experience? A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline is required, along with at least eight years of progressive experience in BIM, 3D modeling, design technology, or related project delivery technologies. Prior experience leading BIM management initiatives and supporting project teams is preferred. LEED Accredited Professional or Green Associate credentials are preferred. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education and location. The reasonably expected salary range for this position is $100,000-$115,000 per year. #LI-BH1 Many of our roles require the use of specific software.
