This position reports to the Associate Director of Financial Resolution Services & Third Party Billing and works collaboratively with the One Stop management team to provide leadership within the organization to support the management and oversight of all student accounts receivable and the University-administered loan portfolio. This position is expected to be an effective manager of both people and projects, and is committed to providing and improving service through operational excellence and continuous improvement. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of multiple Finance Professionals who have independent oversight of designated portfolios that include both tuition accounts and loan accounts at various stages of delinquency across the Twin Cities, Rochester, Crookston, and Morris campuses. Primary responsibilities include hiring, coaching, supervising and evaluating staff, promoting a high level of customer service, and overseeing day-to-day functions of the Finance Professional team. This position serves as a central point of contact, providing guidance and fostering collaboration with students, borrowers, departments, and external partners to ensure seamless and efficient operations. This position also requires a high degree of professional judgment, training, critical thinking, and project management skills to be successful working with University and system wide projects and initiatives. Financial Resolution Services (FRS) is a unit within the One Stop Student Services umbrella of service units. One Stop provides quality, professional service in support of students' academic and financial objectives. Within this framework, the FRS unit plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing student account tuition and fee billing/receivables, student loan servicing and receivables for campus-based loan programs, student loan counseling, and federal tax reporting (1098-T & 1098-E). The unit collaborates with students and borrowers, offering support and guidance to facilitate the resolution of outstanding financial concerns. Academic Support Resources supports hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Work arrangements are determined in coordination with supervisors depending on the nature of the unit and position. The arrangement for this position will be determined upon hire between employee and supervisor. Pay and Benefits
