Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support security-related operations, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. In this visible role, you will help to deter incidents, respond to routine concerns, and bring our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values to every interaction through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agency representatives as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, waiting areas, boarding points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support crowd management and orderly movement during arrivals, departures, delays, and/or service interruptions while following post orders and applicable location protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
