As a Security Officer - Museum of Arts Morning Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related matters according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, entry points, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and support visitor flow by verifying authorized entry to restricted areas, offering directions, and communicating site rules in a professional manner.
• Assist with protecting artwork, exhibits, and other property by observing visitor activity, reporting maintenance or environmental concerns, and helping to address security-related issues as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
