As a Security Officer Screening Agent in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor assigned areas, screen visitors and materials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, help to discourage incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.14 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology location.
• Monitor access points and perform screening of people, bags, packages, and/or materials in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of communication.
• Verify credentials, process visitor entry activity, and document screening results, unusual activity, and/or policy violations in required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, remaining aware of shipping, receiving, and high-traffic areas where additional screening support may be needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
