As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Watch in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to support people first through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, caring approach while working in a dynamic environment.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement and/or site management when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Support access control and security-related screening activities, assist with de-escalation when appropriate, and complete detailed incident and activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
