As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic government transportation location, where you will help monitor entry points, conduct screening procedures, and support access control operations. In this role, you will remain visible, provide outstanding customer service, and help address security-related concerns through clear communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, personal property, and/or carried items at designated entry points in accordance with location policies, post orders, and applicable government-related procedures.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or authorization, and report unusual activity, prohibited items, or policy concerns to the appropriate contact.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and supporting site personnel during security-related events.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, screening areas, and perimeter as assigned, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
