HR Business Partner (Field)

Location: Riverside, CA

Pay Rate: $30-$44/hour

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for a temporary assignment supporting HR operations in a dynamic distribution and logistics environment. This role partners with managers and employees to drive employee relations, workplace compliance, safety initiatives, workers' compensation administration, onboarding, and HR best practices across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct employee relations investigations, document findings, and provide guidance on workplace concerns, performance management, and policy compliance.
  • Partner with leaders on conflict resolution, employee coaching, corrective actions, and employee separations.
  • Support workplace safety programs, audits, training, and compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation processes, accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and claim-related follow-up.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and support onboarding activities, including I-9 verification, background checks, and employment documentation.
  • Provide HR support related to leave administration, benefits, compliance, and employment law.
  • Train managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, safety, and workers' compensation procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams to ensure consistent implementation of HR programs and compliance requirements.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or Employee Relations role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, workers' compensation, and workplace compliance.
  • Experience supporting distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site operations preferred.
  • PHR certification is a plus.
